Boston Trail Run Terms & Conditions

1. Organiser

Boston Trail Run (a Non-Profit Organisation)
Hosted by Boston Country Club

2. Race Entry & Fees

  • 20 km Race (start 08h00) – R240 per person

  • 8 km Race (start 08h30) – R120 per person

  • All entries are final. No refunds, transfers or deferrals under any circumstances.

  • Entry fees are used exclusively for the upkeep and maintenance of the Boston Country Club heritage facility.
     

3. Race Day Arrival

  • Gates open from 07h00.

  • Participants must arrive at least 30 minutes before their race start time to collect bibs and attend the safety briefing.

  • Late arrivals may forfeit their race slot at the organiser’s discretion.
     

4. Eligibility & Conduct

  • Participants must be in good health, adequately trained and capable of completing the chosen distance.

  • Follow all marshals’ instructions, signage and course markings.

  • Respect private farmland, livestock and natural surroundings at all times.
     

5. Safety & Equipment

  • Wear suitable trail-running footwear and attire.

  • Carry personal hydration

  • Emergency medical support will be on-site throughout the event.

  • Water tables available on both the routes. 1 water table on the 8 km and 2 water tables on the 20 km route.
     

6. Liability Waiver & Indemnity

By registering, you acknowledge and agree that:

  • Trail running carries inherent risks, including but not limited to slips, trips, falls, collisions, weather exposure, river crossings, animal encounters and natural obstacles.

  • Boston Trail Run, Boston Country Club, landowners, sponsors, volunteers and their agents (“Event Parties”) shall not be held liable for any injury, illness, loss, damage, theft or death arising from your participation.

  • You participate entirely at your own risk and waive any and all claims against the Event Parties.

  • You indemnify and hold harmless the Event Parties from any liability, cost or expense arising from your actions or omissions before, during or after the event.
     

7. Media Release

By entering, you grant permission for photography, video or audio recordings taken at the event to be used by the organisers for promotional and archival purposes without compensation.
 

8. Privacy & Data Use

Personal information collected during registration will be used solely for event administration, safety and communication. We will not share or sell your data.
 

9. Governing Law

These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa. Any dispute shall be submitted to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of KwaZulu-Natal.
